TX Need your Help I am a NOOB

I am looking at getting this RX7, I need your help, what do you think: the seler is asking 14,000

Fresh paint job, 99 front bumper with combo lights, 99 headlight conversion, side skirts molded into body, rear diffuser, 18" wheels, 10" speaker, Never wrecked, New engine with low miles. I bought the car with about 114,000 miles in late 2003, and the lady i bought it from lived in Abilene and worked in Lubbock, so there are alot of Hiway miles on the car, the engine was replaced a year and a half after i bought the car, with a new(not rebuilt engine

GET PROOF THAT THAT ENGINE IS NEW. Ask for a recipt on the engine, for sure. Also, check the insides of the wheel wells/engine bay side for fire damage on the passenger side and then go ahead and get a carfax on it. You find anything wrong with it at all, use it as leverage in your benefit. Take it for a spirited spin, make sure it doesn't overheat. Check the oil, check the coolant....... You know the drill.

If everything checks out, $14k is a pretty damn good asking price for an FD. It's clean, very clean.

Did not like the way the interior looked, it is in need of lots of care, thats why I did not get it. I posted a nother thread with my next choice, its an automatic, do you think is worth it or should I stay with Manual.

How much did you end paying for the car. Looks pretty clean. Low miles too, hard to find.

When you get the car make sure you start with the reliability mods. Things like radiator, intercooler, downpipe, silicone vacuum hoses, etc. There is a whole write up on them. You should read it.

Thanks for all the good info, I am going to do all the reliability MODS, I will start with all silicone vacuum hoses, follow with the radiator and inter cooler, then will come the down-pipe, after that what will come next? I am not sure that why I am going to read, the following thread. Also I will need to install all the necessary gages, so I can monitor the engine properly.

Ya the waiting, I remember that well. It will be worth the wait it sounds like. I have an upgraded polished TRUST intercooler that mounts in the stock location laying around, dont know if you would be interested or not.
