just got me a 83' rx7... whats should be first ?
just got my hands on a 83' rx7, with only 90k miles on it with the wide body kit from the dealer on it
the motor is mint ! 12A engine non-turbo
springs and shocks brakes and rotors all new put in
i want to clean up the driving , i want to make it faster ... whats the first things i should mess with on the motor ?
i want to also get a short shifter
exhaust (how big can i go on piping for the exhaust system ?)
this is my first rotary engine, so im not to familiar on how would i get this baby going FAST !

Go to the first gen section and look up a user called "Sterling" He can rebuild your carburetor to flow as much as a 500~600 CFM Holley.
This allows you to keep your stock manifold as the RB Holley manifolds are getting hard to find. It also allows you to keep the oil injection system.
Start with that carb and a Racing Beat exhaust. (Headers, silencer, and mufflers) That should get you plenty of ponies along with eliminating some weight... Stock exhaust manifold and cats weigh a lot.
