I'm new to the tuning world...

Hello,
My name is Joe and I am in the USMC. I am originally from Florida, but work here as a security specialist for the Marines in Maryland DC.
Like the title of this post says, I am very new to tuning and am embarrassed to say I don't know a lot about car tuning. I am learning everything I can and am very open to any suggestions and tips for this build.
My end goal is a car that looks great and completely unique that will be pushing good numbers for an amateur track. I'm thinking of a 550hp goal that I can still cruise down Ft. Lauderdale and Miami in.

Welcome to the family.
I used to live in Pembroke Pines. Good times in Florida.

Hi guys and girls if any in this thread, my name is also joe and just like it says in the title im new to the rotary scene, im curious as well to know what I would need to look for engine wise. Because ive seen threads that have engine swaps to LSx, 2jz, etc. Im planning on getting an FD in the near future.

Unfortunately I am stationed up in Maryland for the next few years so I won't be back down there. Though I sure miss the warm sunny south Florida. I'm closer to the Deerfield beach area actually

I am quickly learning just how expensive things can get. My EGR is seems to be either leaking air into the intake or may just be shot all together. Anyone know of a place I can get a replacement for price that isn't insane?
