In the hunt for an FD...
So back around 2005 when I was in highschool I had an 86 non turbo FC. I had it for about a year and got bitten by the Honda bug and had a few hatches. Fast forward to now and I’ve gone through two Miatas, some trucks. Jeeps and just recently sold my 03 Mustang Mach 1 with only 40k mikes on it. I’m currently driving an old F150 with a slot in my garage for an FD. After driving high horsepower cars and light nimble miatas I believe the best car combination is something like the RX7 has to offer. The Miata is what brought me here and I believe the FD is one of the most beautiful cars to ever come out of Japan. I’m not particular on color or trim level as long as it’s manual and stock. Any tips on what to avoid or look for in the FD world. These cars are rare expensive and the social media and YouTube craze only serves to drive up pricing in my opinion. Any help and guidance would be appreciated. I’m also partial to BMW m3s but I feel like the exclusivity of a rare rotary powered car will make it feel more special. Sorry I’m so scatter brained in my ramble but I’m excited to find the right one.

Noted. I don’t have many questions as of yet as I don’t have a car in my hands to dig into and find problems. What are some things to look out for? I’m wanting something stock or almost stock and a straight body is a must for me as I hate body work. I’m aware of apex seal wear and tranny sycros going, which aren’t too bad to fix/replace . Anything else to avoid in the FD world?
