Welp, I'm a 1stgen guy, so I'm not going to be much help...this is just the intro section anyway. Hit the New Member tech section and do some searching there, I'm sure that field has been plowed already. The other option is to hit up these guys this Saturday at the rotary meet at the Cheddar's parking lot on LBJ freeway...here's the link to the thread where the usual crowd keeps bouncing around on who is going to show up or not. There's several FD owners and even some serious rotary tuners who show up for these monthly events.

On the FD side of things, If the car has the stock twins, check for some reliability mods.

Pre-Cat Removal
Aftermarket Radiator
Cat-Back
Metal AST or Del

The above are about as far as you want to go without some sort of aftermarket ECU.

The REW motor is good to about 100K if they are drove normally (Beating on it daily) but if you find a car that was taken care of really well, then 150K is normal.

Just buy one with the mind set that you are going to rebuild it... It is cheaper to rebuild it before it blows.

If the motor blows then you are out a Rotor (possible), Rotor Housing, Pri or Sec Turbo. This can be over 1K if you are in a hurry.
