Hi! new rx7 owner here!!!
Hey all, i just bought my first fc s4 rx7! doing an engine swap now as the engine in the car turned out to have blown apex seals and zero compression in rotor 2. has been a wild ride! Want to ask a question already! I'll figure out how to use this site haha. on another note, man having one 240 is like have 3 rx7s, they are so cheap!!!! amazing!!1
really enjoying the science behind the rx7 and a buddy and me are gonna attempt to port and rebuild an engine this month. can't wait till i can get a turbo motor. for now we are NA boys. really enjoy the reliability that comes with an NA. my buddy has dailied and drifted his NA FC for the past two years! i love the power band. i bought it to swap an rb into it, but i think im gonna enjoy the rotary first! 8)
thanks y'all be safe on the road! everyone here sucks at driving! 8D

Yes sir I will post them soon! Still getting used to using the forum on mobile! Yeah it was owned by a pasteur in Indiana and garage kept for most of its life, so there is really no rust underneath the vehicle first time I looked at it I thought I was hallucinating. It has 99k miles and some minor body damage. There is still some rust on the usual spots, but at the most it's surface rust structurally. Other than that she's a beauty. I love the grey of the car and the body lines are perfect. The rotary felt amazing when I drove my buddies. So I ordered himni racing mounts and I can't wait to be able to throw my engine in. I was gonna throw it in last weekend but I noticed that my motor mounts were torn! Apparently that's a normal thing for these cars haha.

The new motor is in the car now with the himni racing mounts and all I need to do is wire her up and install my block off plates. I'm very new to rotaries and wiring in general and it's really been holding me up. I don't really know what to do. My factory harness worked perfectly so doing these fuel line mods and stuff has been pretty difficult as well as trying to figure out what to do with the wires. It's been messing with me bc I want to drive so bad but it just takes time I guess. Other than that idk. Just gotta figure things out.

Why not just leave the factory emissions equipment in place? There are no power gains from removing it and the engine always seems to runn better with less issues when it has the stock emissions equipment. Plus it can be easier in most instances to diagnose running issues.

its too old. and by law I don't have to do emissions for 25 year old cars. and i think its hideous. i may rebuild it with all new lines and throw it back on in the future but it doesnt make much of a difference with or without i feel, now my next step is to get something welded to my exhaust so my aux ports can function. in the meantime ill clean them out.
