I found the car on CL for 1300 bucks 2.5 hours away, I got into it knowing it needed a bit to make it right. Looking at it closer now that I have it, it needs quite a bit.
The radiator has been JB Welded in about a 3" circle, the carb linkage is jacked up so bad I'm either going to get a new linkage IF I can find one or get a Holley intake and carbie for it.
The rat's nest has been removed, but there are at least 3 open vacuum ports that are open and have no hoses running to them (2 are on the distributor, and if it's anything like a domestic car that's my advance canister).
Even with all the problems, keeping the car above 2k will allow her to run, and very well at that. Taking it to a shop tomorrow to see if they can do anything about the linkage. If not I'll get the Holley. If they CAN fix the linkage I'll get a bare Nikki from Sterling (thanks Darren for the insight on that one).

after a bit more research, the Sterling carbs have a simplified linkage, I'm ordering one of the bare ones in a week or two and I'm pretty sure I can find a source to run my advance or use a "T" fitting to tap into vacuum for my advance. God this forum is helpful. I'll have her running tip top in no time!
