PA Hey! Newb here!

My boyfriend has been into RX7's for a long time (WVUMTNBKR). I am getting one this weekend to rebuild (no interior, no drivetrain!).

I want to track this car at Beaverun. I plan to do one trackday a month starting in March.

I am sure I will have lots of questions to get the car finished!

Have a great day!

Julie

Hey Julie, welcome to the forum, sounds like you have a cool project. Which type of RX7 did you get? Any pics?

Glad you made it to the forum. I used to live in Latrobe and worked at WMT&R. Not sure if your familiar with it but think everyone in that area knows the Rossi's. There's also another guy out there with MB FD whom I'm friends with.

Good luck with the project.

Who owns that beautiful red Turbo II with the black hood on it?

That is one sexy car (The red one!)

J/K

Your car looks pretty good in the pic. Now lets finish up this drivetrain!

I used to work with a guy who got out of WMTR. He would always tell me crazy stories of things that went on there. Where's the FD live? Can't say that I've seen it around town.

yes lots of stories out of that place!!!! Its in a garage near WMT&R. I don't think he got around to driving it at all this last summer.

I still come out to Latrobe from time to time. Maybe check out each others cars this summer.

Beaverun is a nice complex. I've never had a chance to run on it though. My cousing works as a track flagger on the weekends.

Beaverun is real nice...granted it's the only track I've been to on a regular basis. You'll definitely have to meet up with my bf and me to race some karts or take your car out on the track up there. It's a good time!

update on the car...changed the clutch on the engine and got the transmission bolted to it so it was almost ready to go in the car...

...then I found out that the starter I have goes to a 1st gen, not a 2nd gen n/a, due to the fact that the bolt hole was a different size. Anyone reading this know if I can just drill a bigger hole and use the 1st gen starter? I'm going to do some searching and then probably post in another section to get some more feedback...
