Hey fellow rotary nuts. My name is Robert and I have been on this forum for a while but have not posted anything so here goes. I have a 93 montego blue fd that I purchased on eBay one and a half years ago. I love my car. It is my dream car. It is my money pit. The engine was close to being blown when I bought the car and it does as soon as I got it home. Thankfully with help and support and knowledge from this forum and family I have been able to knock a bunch of stuff out. My car spent two months downstate at Pettit Racing.. aka excellent performance with Cam and the rest of his fds. I have some pics in my album if you are interested. After a new motor, rebuilt and blueprinted twin turbos, vacuum hoses, air conditioning replaced and tons of other things I got it back. I have since changed out the gauges, used a lot of carbon fiber, reupholstered the seats, soundproofed the floorpan, replaced the carpet and fixed the relocated battery. I have also soundproofed the air box and piping and wrapped a lot of pipes in fiberglass wrap. I quite enjoy my girl. I’m currently working on retrofitting hids and regrounding the car.( lots of electrical issues) . The things I want for my fd are led taillights and to find a Bose acoustic wave system to rebuild it. Did you know that it uses an isobaric woofer combination?? I just read about it a week ago. Anyways I want to say thank you for having this forum as it has saved my sanity and time.
