Am I crazy??
Hi All,
My name is Kyle and I live in Long Island, NY. I currently have a 2012 Kia Rio and a 2005 Subaru Sti.
I know what you're thinking, this is an odd place for someone to be with a kia and a subie. So let me explain...
My Kia is my DD and I drive it mostly to work; last year I put about 18k miles on it and it gets amazing gas mileage. My Sti is my toy and it really doesn't get much use. Both cars have payments and I feel like I can't justify keeping the Sti considering how often I use it and I have payments. I'm contemplating selling my Sti and buying an FC so I can save on insurance and lose the payments.
Has anyone made a similar switch? I afraid the FC will not hold my interest. I've had an Rx8 in the past and found it fun to drive, I'm hoping the FC will be similar.
Any thoughts?!?

As far as an fc not holding your interest.. its a classic sports car from the late 80's that has had almost 3 decades of people modding them, racing them and finding ways of improving them. You can buy parts and take the car in many different directions instead of just sending the money away as payments, you can pretend you are racing doing Mt. Akina and learn to drift (see Initial D.), you get to experience the many ups and downs of owning and experiencing a rotary engine, you will drive something unique instead of the overplayed "STI"
the list goes on and on my friend

Honestly FD is where you want to go, FC N/A is aprox 180 hp, a turbo II is 200 hp, trust me you want
to go with the FD!( I am a previous owner of a 1988 GLX N/A street port)

All good points. Today I dug out the title and put the stock wheels back on the sti, so I'm one step closer.
I would love an FD, that's just too far outside my budget, especially because I know whatever I get will need some work.
And your 5 year old sounds like a bright kid with good taste
