Well there really isn't much to say. I've always wanted a RX7 they're just so hard to find, so what better way to get one than one straight from Japan, right? Anyways its on its way to the states as we speak and shes a beauty. More to follow of course.

Couldn't agree more. Which is one of the main reasons for me coming here. Congratulations on your new FD. I'm currently waiting for mine which should be ready sometime this week.

Sweet, I'm real excited. I hope driving from the right side doesn't throw me off to bad. The shipping process takes about 2 months so I should see my FD by July. My dealer is supposed to be sending me pics from the docks before she gets on the ship, so thats what we're waiting for.

Wish I could have a Kouki 180sx shipped to me from Japan.

That'd be awesome.

Good luck with the car.

Looks nice. Do you know what generation yours is? I've recently purchased a 95 jdm as well and should receive it tomorrow...i hope. And I havent been able to figure out if its a gen II or III? gen II ended in mar of 95. How much did you pay for her and how many km does she have?

I did a lot of research before buying mine and here is what I got from it to be able to answer your question. The RX7 came in 3 generations the FB came first then the FC and finally the FD which was in production from 1993 to 2002. The FD came in 3 series, 6, 7 and 8. the 6 series was 93-95, the 7 was 96-98, and the 8 series was 99-02. So to answer your question if it is a 95 then its a FD (Gen III) series 6. FYI I found this info on wikipedia. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Oh mine has 33,000KM and the car, shipping, and fees cost 18500.

Not from what I understand, or have documented. I own the Hyper rev RX-7 book no.6. I can't read japanese but I can understand pictures and numbers. From 91-93 aug. is Gen I. 93 aug. to 95 mar is gen II. 95 mar-96jan is a limited production gen III. Which can be identified by lightweight bbs rims and other features. 96 jan to 99 jan is the IV which can be identified by the circles in the tail lights. 99 jan to 00 sep is the V. where the model was completely revamped to your mentioned gen 8. And lastly is the VI that ran from 2000 sep to 2002 aug. I will try and see if I can get someone to translate the goodies but this book is a treasure chest of exterior and performance part eye candy along with alot of information on the FD model and all its different specs at different years and what not. I've recently purchased a 95 myself however it has the circle tails and efini styled spoiler... which has led me to believe it may be newer, possibly 96... None the less the low km on your car is great and congratulations.

Ok I understand what the book is suggesting(stating). The FD which is the last model of RX7 came in different generations (Series). Each year came with different additions to the model. Different suff same chassis. That book of yours would be very interesting to read. Oh and yes Ripley it is RHD. woo!

Well, when I have the finances to do anything, I'm going to go with the Re Amemiya look I think, which in terms of price might take a while, but the guy I bought my FD from has a shop and is going to help me out.

Yeah thats what I meant by generations. FD is the topic here! lol. Probably due to your low miles but the engine bay is just the way i like it...clean and healthy looking. At least you have a strut and 'shroom filter, my engine bay is STOCK. Also I didnt notice in the exterior pic but is that air induct light carbon? If so...nicey.

Yeah man, just keep it stock for now and save up for some good quality mods. Don't do any eBay parts or auto zone specials.
