84 gsl-se

Hello,

I just bought a 84 GSL-SE and looking forward to working on it and being part of the forum. After getting it up on the hoist, I already have a growing parts list!

Welcome to the forum! The car is either an 84 or 85 as the SE was only available then. Light Beige was a color choice for either model year. I also have a Light Beige GSL-SE! Mine is an 84. Yours looks to be in decent shape overall! How does it run and drive? Do you know any of the car's history?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have no idea why I put 89. I must have been thinking of something else. It is an 84.

It's only had 2 owners but it was parked outside for a year so things like brake calipers have seized. There is not much rust on the body work. The first owner was a lawyer who used it for work. The second owner mostly stored it. The interior is mint with only a broken left fan vent and a missing bin lid. All of the rubber seals on the doors etc definitely need to be replaced, they are falling apart.

Seems to have a very good history as the car was likely taken good care of. Does it have higher mileage? Is the interior cloth or leather?

The car appears to be in fantastic condition for the mileage. I prefer the cloth seats personally. My SE has leather and they are showing their age. I'll likely scour for a cloth set to replace the leather.
