Havent had a rx7 since the 80s and missed my 85. I restored a friends 66 fastback and he told me of his 83 gsl in storage at his moms barn . It’s been sitting 18 plus years but was covered up well. I wish he would have drained the gas tank though. It even has a drain plug. I’ve changed out pump and all fuel lines but need a gas tank. Never thought it wouldn’t be repoped . Car is clean except clear coat coming off and the dash and interior is still very nice and soft. Only need top of door panels and rear carpet. Looking forward to getting it on the road and then start the upgrades

No rust at all. I worked on the gas tank today and there is no rust inside like I thought. But a very thick goo from the old gas. Some of it rock hard but I have soaked it all day and it’s starting to come clean.

It’s mine. I hope to have it running by the end of the week but I have all the brakes and clutch master and slave cylinders ordered. It will be a couple weeks till I have time to fix those. Just want to get it running and driving for now and then start upgrading by the end of next year
