Hello out there. Time to stop look and start posting. I've been reading threads daily for nearly a year and starting to hit points where I need some advice!
Anyway, purchased a 94 Touring last March after many times of trying not to buy it! But, a decent car that needed a good home and finally a seller that came way down on the price and I drove it home. 72,482 miles unmodified Black Touring with the Tan interior and a glass sunroof. I had looked at the car months before and passed, mostly since the seller wanted a higher price than I was willing to meet. We were so far apart I refused to make him an offer as I didn't want to offend. I was just not in a position to pay a high price for a car that, while I wanted it, I just didn't need another project. I even offered to help him sell it locally...but months later he wanted to move on and my fiancee made him a offer and the next day I signed the paper.
I'll be starting a build thread, those seem kind of fun to follow. Since the car is so unmodified I won't be looking to do much but fix it up and enjoy what it is. Of course I can never leave well enough alone. Hopefully folks will read a boring restoration thread!
Anyway, I've got two other projects. One a 1969 Caprice I've owned for 22 years now. Originally a 427/TH-400 car it now sports a 622 HP 454 with a TKO 5 speed. Hence the 5spd427 moniker. I'm currently converting that one from carb to EFI. I've already hit snags, so that's another forum I'll be joining soon. The other project is a 1952 Chevy 3100 with a LM7/4L60E. Runs, drives and the bodywork is complete.
Anyway, this isn't my first RX7, I owned a FC back in college. Really enjoyed that car (after I installed a fuel pump switch to prevent flooding).
