first of all great site! I especially like the Canadian section, will definately help in locating local parts and knowledge.
Not the 7 you were thinking of? The car is a replica(based on) of a Lotus Seven ( the original seven) series 3 from the mid 60's.
The car was built from a kit ( not by me). The kIt is called a Centaur. It is a steel monocoque chassis as appossed to tube frame chassis. The pre cut steel sheet pieces need to be welded together. Fiberglass hood, dash and front and rear fenders make up the rest of the kit. Drivetrain is 1980 mazda rx7 12a 4speed.The steering, front suspension, rear solid axle and brakes are from Ford MustangII.
The car is street legal, even without doors and a windshield. It puts a smile on my face every time I fire it up. The nieghbors may not be smiling as it is pretty loud.
I love to hear that rotary scream to 8000rpm.
