Wiring my car for audio.
Wiring my car for audio.
How exactly is this done? Should I cut the car-end harness off and splice those wires into the harness on my head unit? There are two wires to each speaker in my car, are both of these audio or is one power? Should I just give up all hope and pay $150 to have an audio shop do it?
My car's a 1989 FC, factory head unit (planning on removing) with no speakers in the car. I was told that I should bypass the factory amp when installing my 50wx4 head unit or I would get distortion.

omg. whatever you do, DO NOT CUT OFF THE HARNESS. always always ALWAYS leave your wiring alone.
