Angry Why does the stock CD player eject automatically? (I've searched)

Hey guys, I'm sure this has been asked a million times. I searched but found nothing! Why does the damn bose stock CD player eject everytime you turn the power on or off?

This kills my buzz everytime. Sometimes when I get in the car I just want it to continue from where I left off. Is there any way to bipass this?

It's dying. Mine did the same thing. I ended up opening it, putting some grease on the shaft where the lenses rides on, and it worked fine...............for a while. I think it spits it out because the unit has trouble repositioning the lenses back where it was.

I didn't bother doing the same thing to it and used it as an excuse to get a new headunit

You should yank it out cuz its only gonna get worse. Mine started like that and it finally got to the point where you insert a CD and it won't even play it, it just spits it out.

What a pain in the ***.....even the radio in this car is unreliable. What head units would bolt right up to the bose system. I know that the bose works on 1 ohm as opposed to 4 ohm or something like that.

well you can send the unit to stereo bobs and he can fix it or you can hook up a new head unit using the schosche adapter from crutchfield. the factory head unit is high out put....it's the amps that convert to 1 ohm for the speakers.

My stocker doesn't do that, but it's still a POS I had a problem a while back where it wouldn't eject my cd, so I had to disconnect the battery for a bit and then hook it back up. Since then, no problems.

Besides all that, go and get a good aftermarket stereo...you'll enjoy it all that much more.

PS. don't forget the speakers!

i'm all for a high quality after market reciever but the easiest way might be to get the same one that broke and put that in. you wouldn't have to change any wires either.

The stock CD player will eject a CD if the temp is under 35F or there is dirt or condensation on the laser eye or prism assembly
