C-West light kit with HID.....

I know that many people say that the C-West light kit cannot use HIDs because they are fog lights. however, I notice that C-West light kit uses H1 bulbs for its low beams thus they do offer H1 HID kits. I was wondering if the H1 HID kits would fit in the C-West low beam lights. Can you guys please tell me...thanks

I'm not looking at the boxes but I'm pretty sure they are H3 bulbs. They do make HID kits for H3 bulbs but the fact that they are fog lights is the reason for the poor lighting. When I finally get my car up, I will buy a set of Hella 90mm projectors and try to fit them in. If they do fit properly without any major cutting, I will upgrade to the Hella HID.

If you put HID in there, the reflector is going to melt.

oh okay, that explains it....Oh yeah, what if I take the fog lights out of the C-west light conversion, and replace the fog lights with the 90MM HELLA. Would it fit and what kind of HID kit would fit the 90MM HELLA lights? Can you guys help me out on this one...thanks

The Hella projector with H7 bulbs is over 6.5 inches long and probably will not fit without cutting part of the fender liner.

You can order Hella H7 projector at $75.00 each through PUMA at 1-800-333-7862. Then you order Catz HID H7 conversion kit for about $500. High beam can just be Hella H9 at $60 ea.

So, for halogen high and HID low beams, it's about $770.00 without a housing or mount. Housing should be another $300.00-500.00. Rotary Extreme HID is pretty good for $1500.00 but I'm not crazy about the light pattern or the glued in Lexan cover. What I would like is the Eastbear with a molded bubble top Lexan cover, i.e. NSX style projectors for a better light pattern.

I haven't done anything except to investigate the costs. If anyone has done this, let us see it.

thanks for the info...

I'm planning to use the C-West sleek light housing....So, i'll just use the C-West housing with HELLA H7...then the c-west light conversion would have HID...meaning that i looks good with HID.....but then it would cost too much......thanks guys..
