Which wheels should I go with?
I really like the CCW's in black with chrome lip, but there's something weird about putting an American made wheel on a Japanese car?!?!
I guess I should also put, VS-XX's seem played out?!?!?

Also, looking at: DPE S20, HRE C90 ,or HRE C97

Tell that to the 500 mkiv supra owners that have ccw classics. CCW classics in a satin charcoal with chrome lip would look good.

 

Question is what would be lighter, the Works VS-XX or CCW's?

I'm torn between Work VS-XX, CCW Classic and Work Meister S1 3pc

 

I have work vs-xx right now and I can gurantee they are heavier then the ccw classics. I mean is 2-4lbs per wheel really going to make a difference though?

 

+1 i have the work vs and they are all show and no go. heavy bastardos. If looks are what you're looking for the they are classic mesh design and you can never go wrong with them, however it is one of the worst track wheels if you can imagine using them for track events

 

I guess to me every pound counts since I will be running 18x12's pretty soon, I am basically leaning towards CCW's, just for the ease of rebuilding since they are made here.

For you Mototek, I like the VS-XX in Silver

 

Kai, how are you fitting 18x12's? Pettit flares?

I'm trying to fit some 18x12's too, and from my research I can't do it with my ADGT kit, which sucks.

I have to settle for some 18x11 or 11.5's
Had the fenders pulled and rolled 2 days ago, then we're going to put the rear over fender on.

I'm really curious as to how you're going about it. Please do share.

My suggestions HRE 542R for show and Volk Racing CE 28N for daily driving. Brushed on the HREs and bronze on the Volks.

 

CE28N's are a really nice wheel, but RX7RAGE runs that show. Plus I'm transferring to SDSU, so I'll live in the same town as him. If I end up going to Cal Poly SLO; I might think about it.

 

HAHA, I know. CCW Classics in the MKIV world are definitely played out. You might be right in the 500 estimate.
