That's what I figured. Only other way I know of would be custom job.
I've always liked your car Kai, can't wait to see it after the remodel.

Thanks for the input everyone.

Based on what you paid for the HREs Gordon, those suckers are around $1500 per wheel.

Guys, through my shop (IRP) I have a line on Fikses (Classic and Profil line) at below retail pricing. If anyone is interested in a quote please PM me

If you care about HOW the wheel is MADE, as opposed to how is LOOKS, you need to read up on the Fikse's in particular. The quality of the finish on the HRE's is without parallel and you can have them painted in whatever colors or anodizing you want. The thing with the Fikse's and HRE's is that they are much more expensive, I believe, than the Works and other Japanese wheels. I think I paid around $7000 for a set of HRE 543's with Michelin Pilot Sports mounted on them. They were over $1000 per wheel. However, the finish and quality are much higher than any BBS wheel, like the LM's I have on my M3, which were only $720 a wheel.

Gordon
There are about as many quality japanese wheel manufacturer's as there are american. Enkei, SSR, Rays Engineering, and Work Wheels. All of them are pretty much on the line with some of the best wheel manufacturers (they were, after all used on formula cars/touring car championships, and other forms of motorsports and OEM applications). There are about as many shitty japanese wheels as there are shitty american made wheels as well. Just because a wheel manufactuer has a japanese'ish sounding name, does not mean they are japanese either (i.e: Motegi).

I have read nothing but positives on the fikse wheels, and intend on getting a set later on, but older HRE finishes/wheels (not sure about their new stuff) are known for chipping, fading and bending easily. Everything is man made right?

You can find something good, but there is always something better. It human nature to be competitive after all.

Just wondering if you are making these statements with actual hard facts behind them.

Rich: Did not know you are a fikse dealer, I may have to hit you up on some Profil 10s a bit later on.
