Wheel decision: CE28N or SP1?

I'm stuck between the 2 types, I like them equally. I usually don't like to post threads like this, but I can't decide and I would appreciate any input.

18" Volk CE28N Gunmetal

or

18" SSR SP1 Professors (black face)

They would be on a white FD. If both options suck then feel free to throw out some other suggestions. Thanks.

I think on 7s you need more like a mesh style wheel. IMO Go CCW Classics!!!! Best wheels on any car! My 2 cents

I'll break it down this way:

Volk CE's = performance, lightweight, good gas mileage, NO BLING....

SSR SP1's = Lippage, blingage, heavy

MEister S1 = Lippage, blingage, pretty lightweight

Price wise:

18" approximately from 8.5 and 9.5 to 9.0 and 10 combos.

Let's say X is the cheapest set, SSR SP1:

FORMULAS DO NOT INCLUDE CENTERCAPS.

X = SP1 (Black)
X + $700 = Meister S1 (Black)
X + $800.00 = CE28N (Special Color)

Hope that helps a little.

Rishie

imho

A Work Meister S1 2 Piece or 3 Piece will be the HOMOLOGATION OF BOTH WORLDS.

A lightweight Multpiece Alternative with GOOD LIP and TRACK BRED ENGINEERING.

I consider the SP1 more of a street wheel for some reason.

Thanks for the inputs everyone!

I do care about performance, and I did some more research and the SP1's are way way heavier indeed. But that price breakdown is harsh, I thought the Volks would be a bit less than the Work's... but you gotta pay to play I guess.

hmm, Rishie I will send you an email for some pricing specifics...

Both are played out, especially the Volks. Look around for something more original.

Nice! That's more or less what I'm going for. Anyone know the tire sizes and offsets on those wheels?

Rishie

Name Manufacturing Method Size Weight (lbs.) Weight (kgs.)

Volk CE28N Forged 19x8.5 19.4 8.8
Work Meister S1 Forged/Spun 19x8.5 24.0 10.9
SSR Professor SP1 Forged/Spun 19x8.5 24.6 11.2

Not much difference in weight between the Professor and Meister

Im biased Tanabe SSR's ftw!

Mine (first ever done by tanabe in bronze)
