Paint things a different color that you want to highlight.

Ask yourself why you'd like to highlight the mudflaps?

I'm thinking to match the front lip and the rear valence...

And because they're not so much "mud" flaps as "gravel and rock" flaps, which, if black, would be less likely to show chips.

I think it would look weird. Have someone Photochop it to get an idea of what it would look like first.

the early euro-spec cars, or at least their press cars, had the mudflaps in flat black, i think the same texture as the front splitter. i don't have a picture in my computer tho. imho, it doesn't look right, and i certainly wouldn't do it. why would you want to do that? to match the splitter?

What are you talking about? The mud guards showing chips??? They don't chip. They're made out of painted plastic.

Right... "painted" plastic. I believe that they come black, just like the front dam and rear valance.

Yeah, that's right, "painted" plastic (urethane). Guess what? You're wrong. They don't come "raw" but in pre-painted factory colors. I should know, I ordered a set.

LOL, Guess what? I'm happy for you. I said "I believe" they come black, just like the front dam and rear valence.
Besides, is it the dealership that arranges for them to be "pre-painted" or is it MAZDA? Wait, forget I asked. I don't want to upset you anymore.

You *should* be happy. You learned something new today, now didn't you, eh, Mr. "In learning mode"?

As for myself, I "believe" the mud guards come pre-painted, and how about that - I was right!

Wait, forget I asked. I don't want to upset you anymore.
Oh, I'm not upset. It's just that if you don't know WTF you're talking about, I'll be here to straighten it out for you.
