Angry some jerk hit my rex! body work question...

Someone with a trailer hitch backed into my car! So now theres a big square imprint on my passenger rear bumber just as it rounds around to the passanger side of the car. So my question is do I need to buy a new bumper or can the dent be popped out? I've never done body work before but I am considering doing it myself. any tips?

Sorry about your car. Can you post pics of the damage?

for sure. It's dark here but I should be able to grab a light. I should have them up within the next 30 mins. The thing that really makes me mad is, no one left a note on my car with insurance info or nothing. THEY JUST TOOK OFF!!

So sorry to hear about your car. I hate people who hit and run. I think if you popped it out, it won't be smooth. But I've never done body work so I wouldn't know.

use a slide hammer and a dolly for those dents. you can drill a hole in the body, thread the dent-pulling tool into the hole and pop out the dent as much as you can, then just flatten the area and then paint. this is all in a a nutshell, there are direction out there for this.

All of that damage done can be pulled and fixed with normal body work, there is no need for new panels or rear bumper

Once the car is all done, pour ground-up fishguts down the fresh-air vents by the windshield wipers on the truck that backed into you. Then you can call it even.

hahahahaha. sound fair to me Well thanks you guys. I REALLY did not want to buy a whold new bumper for one dent. I figured it could be fixed but the rear isn't metal or anything so I wasn't sure. I'm going to try and do the body work myself. I'm pretty mechanically inclined so i'm not too worried about messing things up. Any suggestions for any websites that have GOOD info on how to do your own body work? thanks again.
