Veilside C1

So I'm in the market for a front end and/or kit. Anyone have pics of the Veilside C1?

I've seen the one on their site obviously, but want different angles. Preferably red, but whatever will do.

Thanks in advance. And yes, I've searched. Got bubkis.

Here we go. Ok. What's wrong with it??? Maybe I should sell my car to you? It is not as attractive as, say, the GTC front end? Or how about the RB type one with FOUR holes for more lights than a WRC car, or the over version that sill has a small *** opening for the IC/Radiator. Or the Knightsports front that can hold a grapefruit in each of its lamp holes? Maybe the RE N1 which...see the RB second version response. What would you recommend?

It's unique in that it's not the mainstream. It accomplishes what I need in that it's got a larger opening to increase my cooling needs as I dumped a FMIC in there among other things. And I, not you own this car. I have gone with POWER upgrades, not looks first. Now, I'm concerned with form that includes function.

If you people are going to give me **** you'd better come up with some valid arguments other than "Oh...ha ha ha...that one sucks. You'd better like it. I'm 18 so I can't give any reason what so ever, but I'll still make fun of it even though I don't know anything."

You are the reason this forum sucks sometimes.

Can anyone give either a PICTURE, a LINK to one or some valid reason why this is or isn't worth the $?

And at least this isn't a "which one looks better" or "what should I buy" thread.

Did you say its not mainstream?

Every rice FD has it.

Reasons its ****.

1 UGLY
2 VERY UGLY
3 NOT AERODYNAMIC Drive a car with one and watch how it shakes all around because of the shitty aerodynamics of it.
4 TOO BUSY and messes up the lines of the FD
5 Do you really want me to keep going If you want a F&F Ricer than go ahead and get it. You can find the stickers on ebay too.

The FD is a classy car and deserves somthing that fits it better.
Look into cwest and border or 99spec.

<sigh>

http://www.border-racing.com/border-...l-fd3s_t2.html

This? Looks like a sawzall went through it.

http://www.border-racing.com/border-...l-fd3s_t3.html

No

http://www.border-racing.com/border-...l-fd3s_t5.html

What's with the side skirts? Too boxy. And the front...creativity with the sawzall.

C West kits don't appeal to me.

And The F&F used the C2, so get it straight.

Also, where are you getting aero #'s? Someone put it through a wind tunnel? And I assume then that you have been in a car with this and the front end was proven to be the cause of whatever shaking?

1. Opinion
2. Great job driving that point home.
3. Allready addressed
4. Eh...so do a lot of other ones you mentioned.
5. Yeah. I'm just ricing it up here. See what I've said above. If it's sooooo mainstream, then it should be easy to post pics, but I STILL haven't seen any. Wonder why...

Well guys he siad he doesn't care about the look so if he wants it just let him get it.Personally i wouldn't buy this kit.I admit a couple of years ago i would have bought it but like rotarynemesis said it does look very ricey but if you like that look just go ahead and get it.If you just want to get a veilside kit just get the D1-GT that one looks better then the C1.

GOD DAMN! I was very nice about my post! I never said anything bad about the front. I was just warining you of the general consensus of this forum. I wasn't telling you I would do it better or anything even remotely close to that. You know what, I think the kit is frickin GREAT! HERE'S SOME PICS!

RX7INSAC's Car:

Steve Kan's Car

Although unhelpful, I was nice in my 1st post and just giving you a friendly heads up. I continue with my nice streak by finding some pics for you. I think YOU are the type of people who make this forum suck. People whose fuse is so short that they go off on you for little or no reason...I think they suck.

I think people hear Veilside and immediately think Fast and Furious.. C1 is the old school version of C2 and Back in the days that was the only kit you could get for an FD. I think its somewhat of a 'classic'. I've seen Steve Kan's car and you know, I kind of like it.. Not bad!

For cooling needs I bet it is effective but the nose looks a lot like a duck's bill.... also I wish it accommodated the 99 spec signal lamps. Good luck.

it's plain and simple...

people don't like that kit because you can get that same style front bumper for civics, integras, neons, sentras, ect ect... It's not orignal, and it is VERY mainstream. here are some examples:

you can't tell me that they don't all have the same style/lines... why would you want a front bumper on your car that looks like a front bumper offered for almost every other car out there?

Haha how can you say this bumper is not mainstream?! Every person in this thread is right when they say it's offered for many different cars, it's ricey, and looks like ****. I mean it's your car, so do what you want with it. But, you can definately find a better, more high quality kit for your car to suite your "FMIC air needs" just fine. Good luck with your car....

You could consider a Panspeed kit, you don't ever see those around:

Give credit to the ricers who ruined the Veilside look. LVS is so 1998; IMO, the C1 and C2 kill off the FD's lines. It's pretty gross. But, if it's what you want, then by all means get it .

Bricke...your pic is dead.

I meant mainstream for the FD, not everything else, which I couldn't care less about. The nose does look too long on certain angles, which is shying me away now.

What gets me is that everyone was so quick to bash, and tried to give some reasoning with nothing to back it up. Everyone is so tied up with popular opinion that they can't make up their own minds anymore. It's all the younger kids who see a movie, hear some things, then decide that it must be cool to go with the flow and say the same thing every time and can't justify anything. I asked for pics, not your opinions. Some of you are going to be the same ones that go off on why people ask for those opinions all the time.

Maybe I'll just leave the front end off altogether, then I won't have to worry about what YOU think.

Search for the rotary power dirift car, it has the new veilside kit, and it's a lot less "rice" due to them changing their lines, and it not beeing on every other car out there.

Here you go : https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...ower+Drift+Car
