Valentine-1 install

Has anyone installed a valentine one and wire it into the power going to the switches in the dome? The question i have is related to that phone cord, Can I use a standard phone cord and cut into it and run 2 of the wires to power/gnd? Which ones?

Thanks!
Jeff

you can use a regular phone cord, but i am not sure which two you want to use.. just look at the wire box that it came with, and see.. i actually have mine wired into the cig lighter.

Take a voltmeter and check for the power wire....from there you can check for ground aswell. I have done it but do not remember the wires. I will get home and check it out today and post another reply.

too much hassle. you don't need a piggy detector. Because I am the nice guy I am, I'll take it off your hands for ya. You can sell it to me... ::sobs::.

Just run it to the fuse box.

How are you guys running the wiring so no one sees it wher you run it to the fuse box? Are you mounting it lower then running it through the dash?
