swirl marks

does anybody know a good wax for taking out those swirl marks out of the paint job. I really hate those. Thanks

It could be just from the paint itself having oxidized over the years..

Mine has some oxidization. In those areas I can't seem to get the swirl marks out.

3M Swirl Remover.

It's in a black bottle, and takes out the swirl marks well. It also takes off all your old wax, so another coat of wax will be necessary.



Buffing with a clean rag is key to swirl removal.

If that doesnt do it for you. I highly recomend the "Mothers" clay bar treatment kit.
Works wonders.

You can get that Zaino stuff. My roomate just used it on his car, and it took all of the swirl marks out.

yea that works really well. the only thing about it is its a full days worth of work.

The clay bar is great but it does not remove swirl marks. It removes contaminants from the surface of the finish.

Swirl marks are actually fine scratches in the finish. The clay bar does nothing for that.

Mother's Clay bar, 3M Swirl Remover(for dark colored cars), Meguiars Polish and then Meguiars Gold Class Wax. . In that order.. My '94 RX turns out gorgeous.. Swirl marks disppear.. Hello brilliant black.. Highly recommend 3M for removing swirls. Happy detailing!
