Why will your odometer no longer read?
Is that a Blitz guage you have in the din slot?
What color does it illuminate to?
I'm looking to switch my boost guage. I am looking for something dark red.

The interior looks good btw.

I guess I killed my light bulb some how, I dunno. the boost gauge is an "el cheapo" (as a forum member who will remain nameless calls it) Autometer mechanical gauge. It illuminates orange.

Which paint did you use? I am going to do this over the winter for my project. Thanks.

I used Dupli-color "Wheel-Coating". The same stuff I used for my wheels. I wanted the color to match exactly and this stuff has not chipped from my wheels in a year of daily driving so it must be good.

Looks like you finally decided to color your panels- looks great. Your's came out a different shade than mine, as seen in my old thread here. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...inted+interior I like how yours came out, but I'm still undecided on wether I should do the rest of my panels as you did (or have them done in a CF look).

Did your's come out shiny at first as well, or was the color we see here the result of just the paint?

The paint I used was the same paint I used for my wheels. Its Dupli-color wheel coating. The name on the bottle is "Graphite", I call it gunmetal cause thats what it looks like.

I put a few coats of clear coat on it, I didn't want the super shiney look. being a 94, my car has texture so it probably doesn't look quite as shiny anyway. The passenger door handle has no texture, cause the handle was scratched real bad so I had sanded it down smooth to make it look new again.

I cant believe I did not do this sooner, it really gives the car a different feel and modernizes it. I would not do the c/f if its an overlay. Overlays look tacked on (IMHO).

Yep, it just livens up the vehicle. I was thinking the same thing about layering the pieces over the plastic, and didn't really like the idea either (which is why I painted mine silver as well), but don't know of any place that will make actual carbon fiber interior pieces for the FD, other than this: www.carbonfiberparts.net

They do have some rather nice work.
