Summer Interior Build
So until i can pay off enough of the ol' credit card to feel comfortable with buying a single turbo setup, I'm trying to keep my modding addiction at bay with an interior build.
I think the car was originally black and tan, judging from the fact that the seats and carpet are black and tan (everything else is black), and that it looks like someone in the history of previous owners stripped the entire interior and put it back together again with the skill of a twelve-year-old.
SO. to remedy this i have replaced many of the missing pieces with CF coated pieces that i found for cheap online (they don't look too bad, but I'm still not sure if i like them or not) I have also put together a list of things that would make me happy.
Moving on, today i replaced the lids on the storage bins behind the seats with these;
and i have to say that for the amount of $$$ it cost me, and the time it took to put everything together, i really could not be happier. not sure if anyone else has done this or not but it looks pretty sweet.
basically all i did was unscrew the hinges on the lids, use them to trace a stencil onto a couple pieces of 1/4 inch plywood, cut them out with a jigsaw, and wrap them in suede. I ran the wires to the excising amp i already had hooked up in the back, and presto!
I still cant stand the sight of my torn up seats, but for now it looks awesome, so i thought id share it with you folks in case you were browsing for ideas.
the Tanabe rear strut tower brace is on the way, as well as black Corbeau seats and red Bride harnesses, so Ill keep you updated.

yep. I figured that was the easiest place to run it without drilling holes in any of the plastic or taking that whole assembly apart. I might play with it a little more later but it doesn't bother me for now.

i might just bite the bullet and do that. like i said though i was trying to keep it so that i didn't modify the plastic at all.
Got the Tanabe rear strut tower bar in. Next step is harnesses, but i decided to go with Cipher Auto 3" 5 points, and they don't have any in stock right now i have to wait 1-2 weeks.

the stock one i have is rusted and crappy looking so i figured I'd get one to match the black and red theme. I put it in the other day and it looks good, ill have to snag a picture. Its nothing that cant be changed if i decide there is too much red.
The speakers sound great as well! a much needed improvement over the stock bose system. And its balanced well too. you cant tell what direction the music is coming from it just fills the car. my only complaint with how it sounds right now is that i have pioneer 6.5's in the front, and i think I'm gonna upgrade them to infinity's as well.
ps. the headlights bugged the hell out of me from the first day i bought the car. lol. i have the EVO-R flush kit with HID's on it now. PITA but it looks so much better. wish it had just come with stockers though.

If you really like the OEM look fit, best bet is to purchase a used black carpet in the forums.
There are aftermarket alternatives that you have to cut etc. Fit will be okay, if you go slow and make multiple small cuts, but definitely not OEM fit.
Other mods I would suggest is to change your rearview mirror. Maybe to an auto dimming one.

Not my favorite location, but a lot of people do it. I opted for the mini battery in the engine compartment.
Or, was your question rhetoric?
The bay area is all up in this fella's thread lol.

I would have put it farther back, like where the spare tire used to be, but i ran out of cable. lol. its secure so its not going anywhere, but i would have it more ninja if i could do it again. that much copper cable is expensive though.
at least its a fancy battery
