Sub placment in an FD

I have a JL 10w6v2-D4. 300/4 JL for the speakers and a 500/1 for the sub.

I want to make a amp rack to mount the amps behind the divider and then make a false floor. Someone already hacked up the rear of the car for a sub enclosure, so I have no carpet. Should I place the sub in the center of the strut bar facing back? Or in the right hand side, towards the back of the spare tire?

Fiberglass or MDF can be used, I just need to make sure I have the perfect CF for this sub. I have seen just .1cf off make it sound raw, not crisp.

that is how I am designing mine except it is going to extend out. Similar to this one except with one sub.
