Is it all the speakers that cut out simultaneously? Does the head unit dim or black out when it happens? Does anything else dim or black out (maybe a loose battery terminal)? Does it happen most when hitting bumps, braking hard, moving the seatbelt, or when?

Have you modified the speakers or head unit wiring in any way? Removed/reinstalled any interior panels, etc.? If you changed anything or have been working around the speakers, I would start there.

Pull your door panel its probably wiring behind the speaker. You may want to avoid doing that though because when you do your going to see what happens to speakers over 10 years of use, and youll probably want to replace them.

Well it is an aftermarket head unit , it isn't particularly any big bump-most roads around here are bumpy(constantly), It has been fine since I owned the car, it is all speakers. I will check some of those things

i bet ya the wire on the back of the speaker grounds somewhere
i would suggest to check it out quick before you burn the amplifier of the head unit
