Speaker question...

I am thinking about replacing the speakers in my FD. I have 2 questions:

1. What is the biggest speaker that will replace the stock ones with little or no cutting/drilling?

2. What are some good sounding speakers?

I am currently looking at a set of Kenwoods at Crutchfields website.

Thanks for any help!

Oh yeah, I have an Alpine head unit if that matters.

fronts are 5.25" and rears are 5x7 stock. you can get 6" in front if the magnet isn't too large. most japanese brand speakers should fit in. crutchfield can tell you exactly which ones will fit. I have 6" clarion speakers in front, kenwood, boston, pioneer, and alpine should all fit okay. rockford fosgate won't.

Thanks alot all. That helps.
Do the Kenwoods have a good sound?
The only thing I have is an Alpine head unit. I do not have any sub's or amp's or anything.

The best speakers are the MB Quart. They fit fine with no problems you don't need bigger speakers 'cause these sound better than any around. Just cost to much thats the downfall of the MB's. Good Luck

For about the same price as the MBquart I would go with the A/D/S 3 series. To each it's own.
