Sleepy Rectangle Headlights

Does anyone have any idea what is used as the headlights (nsx?), or if it is available as a kit?

Thanks in advance!

VeilSide made that "fixed sleepy eyes" style headlight for 180sx, but I don't know about RX7.

I don't think they exist for the FD. I'll bet money what you see in the pics are the OEM lights with the Pivot Controller. If so, they don't function as headlights, they just look cool.

I have a Pivot Controller if you want to do the same

Not sure what the light output is like on them. Although I know the owner...So I could find out if anyone was interested. I think these pics we're taken before they we're adjusted.

The veilside sleepy kit is so old, most current veilside employees don't know it was ever made.

Lol

although, It would be sweet to get a set of the bezzels to retro fit some dual 90mm projectors.

That is why I thought they were stock headlights and the Pivot Controller.

You wouldn't get any usable light output as the units would point down. However, a lot of guys do this for the "bling" factor and pop up the lights fully when driving.

That means its fine to go sleepy during the day and pop them up fully during the night?

Yes, the Pivot Controller allows you to do this, but (there's always a but isn't there?) it is not a one-step process. I know because I own a Pivot Controller - bought it new for $100, used once, will sell for $50 - thinking I could get it to automatically control my sleepy eyes HID conversion on my FD.

The Pivot unit has a "degrees open" **** you can set to raise your lights to a certain height compared to the stock position. So, for example, you can set this to 30% and when you turn the lights on, they will raise to 30% of the original height. To then get them to raise to full height, you turn the lights off and then turn the adjustment **** t0 100% and turn the lights back on. Repeat as needed

It's not the end of the world, just not useful for my application where I wanted the lights to always raise only to the sleepy height when I turned the lights on via the OEM stalk. Ended up modifying the headlight bucket control arm thus, the availability of the Pivot Unit.
