Are Evo-R headlights DOT legal?

Hey guys,

So, I'd love to get an Evo-R headlight kit for my FD, but the cops out here are real dicks about RHD cars and are extra douchey about DOT headlights.

so, question; Are the Evo-R sleek headlight kits DOT legal?

I'm not 100% sure, but I highly doubt that they are DOT legal.

They look good but some people complain that the light output is worse than stock

I believe the answer is No
Might want to search as some people have not been happy with their fitment.

Search under username 'natey' and 'threads started by,' after that you probably won't be too interested in their product.

Theres no way they can be DOT legal, the non-hid projectors barely give out any light, i had to aim my low beam HID's up a bit and use those as high beams instead, and its still not great.

Besides you should not buy anything from them as Goodfella suggests, the definitive answer is NO. The only DOT legal conversion setup are those that use Hella headlamp assemblies and these do not. Hella aftermarket units are the only ones that have been DOT tested and approved for headlight use, no others have.

Yes, a bunch are fine for fog light use but just not headlights and that applies to all the other retrofit kits as well.
