rotating guages....just read....
in porsches, they are equipped with factory VDO guages. my friend has a pair of 993's one turbo and one n/a. He has rotated the tach/speedo counter colckwise so that during higher speeds, the needles are more in the 12-o'clock position. hence, they are easier to read, and it helps for visibility in cornering....i have driven and ridden, so it does work. just wondering if i can do the same to mine. i know the guages LOOK individual, but are they moveable at all.....i have never checked....

No, it is one panel of guages and the cover has circular cutouts to make it look like they are individual.
Unless you scrap the panel and put in all aftermarket guages, rotation is not possible

I know exactly what you are talking about. MY friend has a NA 85 911 and he also has some of this gauges turned like that.
I've also seen the gauge cluster out, and there really wouldn't be a way to turn them like that

i think this might actually be possible (maybe)... the tach/speedo gauge faces are each held in place by four small rubber "fastener things"... i don't know what else to call them. but anyways, i think it would be possible to rotate them and just glue them in place and then recalibrate the needles to read the correct rpm/speed.
