Repainting FD soon..
I'll be getting my FD repainted soon. It's Chaste White and I want to keep it white. A white rx8 parked on side me yesterday and I really liked the white. I'm thinking of going rx8, before I was leaning towards a pearl or so. Something in me wants to just get Chaste White.. So it's either a white pearl, rx8 white, or the factory color.. It doesn't really need a repaint but theres a few little dings and chips here and here and I have c-west side skirts and front bumper so when thats on I'll need paint, will be painted mid June.. I don't know if the same white thats on the rx8 will look good for the FD.. What ya'll think? Negative and Positive comments and feedback are welcome..

RX72NR- go for it.. gives the FD a modern look..
Barban- I most likely will stick with Chaste, only because I know the car looks good in that
color.. As much as I like the look of the white on an rx8 some colors only look good
for certain cars..

If you're talking about mine I took the "rx -" off my rx8 and ordered a "cx-7" emblem for the "7"..
What did you do with your rotary Yoshi.. I was thinking of a 2jz swap when I came across the kit that tech2 offers but I recently bought alot of parts and paid a great deal for some work to get done that I'll just send my rotary off to rx7.com and have it streetported..

Well actually, I had the Tech 2 2JZ swap kit back in late 2008 when I bought my current FD, but I traded it for an RE motor & install labor costs, because at the time, there's no way I could have afforded to do the full 2JZ swap.
That RE motor blew on the dyno before i even got to drive it....so $1,300 later I got an REW motor that made me 326hp @ 11psi and ~400hp @ 15psi, but blew on New Years 2010.
So after that, I tried to find a street-ported REW motor, and I was gonna go meth injection. I ended up getting scammed out of $500...and then a few weeks later my brother came to me with the proposition of doing a 2JZ NA-T project.
My brother was the lead mechanic, and his friend and former co-worker was the welder/fabricator...all for a reasonable price..
The rest is history.. See my build thread, if you wanna know the whole "beginning to end" story. :P

I have a friend that was also stationed in San Diego for the Navy.. I like your hood and spoiler, I plan on going with a scoot hood and not sure about spoiler, gonna see if an rx8 spoiler would fit tomorrow.. youre engine would look good power coated that hks purple or a deep red, thats just me.. my theme is red/black/white..

Yeah, I am okay with my hood too...but in all honesty, I'd rather have a Scoot hood like yours. Mine is an authentic Mazdaspeed carbon-fiber hood that has been painted, and now it's modified. :P
RX-8 spoiler huh? Interesting. I'd like to see some test fits of that. :P
I'm pretty much a white/black/red kinda guy too. I just want to re-finish my interior with some slight red accents, like the red-stitched shift boot kinda stuff.
Motor-wise...red or chrome valve covers should look good on my 2JZ.
I've got higher priorities though....like the car being 100% driveable first....after that, I'll be saving up to have my Burnout fenders installed, respray the car, and then some nice staggered rims.

I just changed my carpet to black and rewrapped my seats red/black leather but seats have a few wrinkles so I need to take it to a pro, I bought it with tan and not a big fan of it.. I'm registered to show inside the Biloxi Coliseum at Scrapin' the Coast so I pulled my car from the shop to start on the cosmetics, other than that the engine would've been pulled. Its only running on one rotor but still hits full boost and runs and everything, the afr drops to 10 and flies straight to 20 instantly..

Keeping original color is usually cheaper. I would only stay original color for that reason. I'm in the same boat but I think I want a new color. I was thinking about the snow white color on the 99 spec cars but I notice that white usually doesn't have any depth to it . Now I don't know what to pick.

Theres a painter that lives less than a mile away from me that does awesome work and told me $2000 for original and more for a complete color change.. he might not up too much if I want some pearl or so..
