Remote Start and AWS??

Remote Start and AWS??

Who here deals with this and how?

Do you just end up remotely re-igniting when it stalls?
Have you guys choosen to keep the AWS and just let the car rev up?

I had a remote starter on my previous FD, I friggin loved it. Disconnected the AWS too, didn't really feel the need for it. When it stalls, the remote starter should automatically fire up again.

I just left the AWS connected. I would remote start it, and just let it rev. Sometimes I would be running late for school, and that remote start helped alot.

I haven't ever heard of an alarm re-starting the car if it stalls?? What brand is this, and do you know for sure it does?

Ali- I hate the thought of it reving up so high on all, or any of the remote starts.

Mine was a manual tranny.

I have no clue what brand mine was, but it was only $130 bucks! The labor to trip the manual trannie wasn't all that hard, actually.

Oh, and don't ever do an auto-start while your rig is in gear.

Series7 is right, dont leave the car in gear, the car will drive away. I had my remote start on a manual tranny. One of my friends and I installed the system. Let me just say If I had to do it again I wouldve paid to get the work done. For use on manual transmissions, all you have to do is bypass the clutch switch and your good to go. As for a system, that automatically restarts the car, I have yet to see it. They might exist though, my system was the Prestige series. I had the window roll down, remote start, window roll up, and power door locks.

Raj and about the revving up when the motor was cold, I always grinded my teeth when it would happen. I tried not to do it often, but figured school was more important.
