What do ghost stripes look like ?? Please provide visual reference

BTW as much as I do like the idea of stripes, here's a great reason not to get one..

Ghost stripes are basically stripes that are similar to the color of the car but either a shade lighter or darker. I.E. Black car with dark grey stripes. These are used alot with the 60's Shelby Cobras and kit cars.

On the other hand, I get the biggest laugh when I see the offset stripes on the wrong side of the car (like KNONFS - hahaha)

ed

(historically, they belong on the drivers side of the racecar)

racing stripes are a domestic muscle car thing. With the exception of a viper, no post early 70s car should have them

I don't think it suits a RX7 very well. At least not looking like this. Poor FC, hopefully ill have money soon to fix the previous owners mistakes.

Previous owner = 1
FC = 0

There are big plans to fix this crap, just need time and money... working on epoxying the stock spoiler back togeather right now. Same with finding stock rims fixing interior crap etc... restoration in progress.

Please don't do this to your FC!

well really take out that airplane wing and remove that black crap from the side of the car and pull off those vents next to the scoop and I think it would look good with those racing stripes. Just my oppinion.

The only stripes I would do are those with a meaning....like the Irish flag for me. I think on a white car having a 2 inch wide orange stripe, 2 inch space and then a 2 inch green stripe, all centered inline with the driver would be cool as hell.

Racing stripes dont belong on rx7s IMO, but making a duct tape racing stripe on a riced out honda (like my POS prelude) is acceptable because its just plain hilarious.

I hereby formally request to do whatever the "F" I want with my car's paint.... LMAO !

Just like anything there are good implementations of ideas, and there are bad ones... Stripes can look very sprty, but they can look redicoulous as well... it's the implementation that makes the difference...
