I dont think it would look bad, but I think it would look better without them.. key work here...better...

 

In my humble opinion i think that racing stripes are more of a old school muscle car thing. Few post 80 cars look good with them.

 

I don't care for them but they don't offend me either.

I can't wait till my car gets done. I swear I might get flamed some but really my car looks really good! Black with silver stripes and a super style spoiler on the back, with silver rims to match the stripes. The rims are old and kinda banged up but other than that the stripes look great!

 

Get what you think will look good. I would try to do them like Knonfs's though and not like a 70's chevelle dual stripes. Some nice small penstriping would look nice also.

 

they look good as long as they're SANS rice stickers.... and if they match the body kit, you're doomed.

i prefer no stripes cuz im all about keeping my car shaved and beautiful without being flashy... but thats how I like it. other people might not agree with me.

the one in rxseven1's post looks pretty good but i wouldnt do it cuz its not me. to me it sends a message like "i'm fast! lets go!" i want my car to say "i am beautiful. im not gonna brag and im not gonna show off, but if you challenge me i'll smoke your ***"

and yeah it kinda makes it look viper-ish which is cool

but really its all about what YOU want.

yeah, they are a but domestic looking, but I think they go well with the car if you have an FD that's red or dark blue.

I think stripes look ghey except on the late 60's early 70's musclecars

 

Stripes used to be really popular in the mid-90s, for people to put on their cars. But then everybody and there mother had "racing" stripes! I remember back in like 1997 I saw this early 80s prelude junker (it had that ugly dull *** brown honda 80s paint) with 2 stripes made from that stick-on chrome trim ****, one going down the middle, and one offset on the right. And of course the $10 Walmart 3 spoke chrome hubcabs. After I saw that, I knew I would never put stripes on a car again (unless it was a viper or something but I don't have that kind of money ).

on a serious note, i dont like stripes. they look good on some cars, just not rx7's

 

This one looks pretty cool with stripes.

 

Take a look at the *newer* banzai pettit racing rx7 . . . . blue with silver stripes . . .

The fender flares and the mazdaspeed nose make it look incredible !
