Questions on Multiple power amp and speaker combos.

Ok..here is the "scenario".
Running 4 speakers up front..BUT want to run an other set in the rear as FRONT.(so it would be 6 total on the front system of the headunit). They would be plcaed in the Strut towers.
I would run another 4 6x9's as a Rear system in the bins..(my trusty Cadence CVLS speakers that kick ***!)
I have 2 amps.
One is a 5 channel and one is a 6.
My headunit is an Avic 6000 NEX which only supplies 2 front and 2 rear.(if you want sub then you have to use one side of the rear..but who needs Subs in an FC?)

Soooo..question is can I split the RCA's from the headunit (y adapters) to go to BOTH amps?

If not then any suggestions would be grateful.
Thanks guys.
STYX!~

It's a bit confusing. When all is said and done, you want to have a grand total of 10 speakers in the car?(6 "front"+4 "rear"?) Not questioning the "why", just making sure I am counting right .

Do any of your amps have an RCA pass through?(Where there is an input and output)

EDIT: What model amps do you have?

ya..ten speakers/2 amps...Because I paid for them already, used them in 2 cars and now I am going to ONE car and have all this audio ****..so why not use it!..hahhahaha!.
It's expensive stuff(for me anyways) and I wont get my return on it,so I will continue to enjoy it!

Actually not sure about the input/output thing but I'll check that and post back up.
I spent all day today working on the bin area as the Speakers are too deep and hit the top of the relocated Passenger binned Battery.
So I got brainstorming and came up with what you see below.
Amazing what you can do with a little wood...(ya..heard that often...lol!)
Ran out of Daylight..so I'll finish the carpet covering on it tomorrow.

10 speaker system, I like it!

Post up the model numbers of your amps too.

In short, yes you can use Y-adapters but I try to avoid them if possible. They can cut the signal down going to the amps, and sometimes can introduce a small bit of noise/interference.

the amps, albeit are just Lanzar amps..
The heritage series 5 channel 6000 watt and the newer 6888BT which is a 6 channel Blue tooth amp.
The Speakers pictured are Cadence CVLS69's (6x9) with separate crossovers. They weigh 50 pounds for all 4!..
Fronts are CDT 4.5 inch (four of those..)..2 are in the stock dash placement..and I wanted Door speakers BUT I couldn't do it correctly without sacrificing the window crank..
SO..I put them IN the vent at the dash..now the door vent actually will have sound coming out of it..hahhaha!
The other 6.5 inch speakers are Focal PS130's and they are absolutely phenonemal!..they are in the shock towers.
All run off the Pioneer Avic 6000NEX.

The old system had the Avic with the 5 channel, one set of CDT's,the Focals..in front. In rear was the 4 Cadence 6x9's.
This System alone was deafening!..you were getting Eaten by Pink Floyd!

Hey Lanzar is ok for the price when comparing others that are in the same price bracket. Especially when you consider they are 5 and 6 channel amps.

From a quick Google search it looks like both amps do have a pass through. If you already have one amp installed I would just jump a set of RCA from one amp to another.

If you're going to be installing both, any particular reason you would not want the 6 channel to power all the back speakers?(Considering there will be six speakers in the back )

Ya,I was surprised at the performance of such a "cheap piece"..It may not be pricey but it does the job well.Anyone who wants to pay more ..just wants to DO more..and this does what I want it to do.

The back speakers are in parallel so they run 2 speakers on L & R respectively.(2@4 ohms, paralled= 2 ohm load).
The 4 fronts (2 L &2 R )would be the same configuration. That is the way I had it with the old 5 channel using just front and rear.(no 5th channel or sub).
If I could hook the fronts to the 5 channel then power the rears by the 6 channel that would be good too..but the thing is to get the last pair in there too.
Even if I could get the front off one amp (the first 4 speakers) I still have the other pair..and I got the rear position on the amp not being used.
The setup for that being one input(FR) from the headunit supplying that 5 channel amp.
Then I could use the 6 channel on the rear to supply the 4 6x9's..Using one Input and one output, again as a 2 ohm load per side.

I really gotta take a good look at these amps..
I go to the car to do one thing and 16 other things distract me!..haha.I went to put the speakers in and cleaned the garage after I tripped over parts and tools!..(ARRGGGGHH..Fudge!..Boot..oww!)

Being that you now have a total of 10 speakers, and 10 speaker(non sub) channels, why not go one per channel?

Ya..BUT the thing is how to get from the deck to the speakers.
I got FR(4) and Rear(4) hooked up to the 6 channel today.,..GOD..you should see the diagram they give you..confuses the **** out of ya..
Instead of Ch#1 and Ch#2 as Right and left you use ONE AND THREE?..Wut??..
the drawing IF i understand it right says 1 & 3 FR.
2 & 4 Rear.

OK..Now I still got the pair of Focals in the strut tower to hook up...somehow.

This is the MAIN thing that is confusing me.
If you only use ONE input on the amp..how many outputs are actually going to put out power to speakers..(like can you hook up say FR to 2 channels of a 4 channel amp and have it put out power to 4 speakers?)

NOTE: right now,due to mass confusion..lol..I have just the 6 channel in/on the car.It runs 4 fronts and 4 backs on 4 channels..(that is because I have 4 deck outputs with 6 amp inputs)

Easy, lots of Y adapters LOL See my 3rd grader drawing attached.(This is assuming you do not have any amp pass throughs)

The number of inputs will match the number of audio exiting the speaker outputs.(2 in 2 out)

If it were my setup, I would put all the fronts on the 5ch and the rears on the 6ch. Fade and balance would still work, its easier to keep track of when installing as well as if there is ever an issue and you need to troubleshoot.

I only used 2 Y's so I got the FR to the amp..(extra audio cable just there to get to the other amp when I get TO the other amp..to install it..lol!).

*I got the car wired enough to get power to the starter and Test "roll over"..YAY!..it's alive-ah!..sort of!
Also tested the Audio system..which KICKS FREAKIN ***..LOL!
