but to me, that doesnt look the same as the one on CTHIS RX7's car:


see how the 2nd one is much smoother and how the lower vent kind of curves up toward the outside of the air damn? the Racing Beat one looks much more straight edged and not as clean... can someone explain if it's just bad light on the first picture, or if these are in fact two different lips?

I believe it's the angle it appears and CTHIS RX7's picture seems to be stretched a little on the horizontal.

However, if you look in the "Official 3rd Gen Picture" thread here in the Interior/Exterior section, you'll see where he posted the picture and stated it was the Racing Beat Air Dam.

I've seen it in a picture on another red FD some where here in the forum. It gives a VERY aggressive look, but from the sides can look a little strange if it's not molded (and the car doesn't have side skirts).

 

those are DEFINATELY 2 different front facias. Look how the lines curve across the entire width of the car differently

 

that is exactly my problem with the lip...its doesnt look clean at all...kinda of just bolted on.

 

thats exactly what i'm saying... maybe it is just because the picture is stretched or something, but i'm not convinced. i talked to CTHIS RX7 and he said the lip was on the car when he bought it, but he says its a racing beat... maybe it is just the picture, but in the picture of the racing beat lip i can't see where there is any curve like on the 2nd lip... the 2nd lip looks much smoother

 

i think cthis rx7 is the rb lip..i dont see the different between his and mine

 

That's not the RB Chin Lip. I have the chin spoiler and it's exactly like the following pic:

The one on CTHIS RX7 looks like a FEED piece that I've seen somewhere online that sells FEED parts. Not sure where I saw it, though.

I cant reinforce how sure I am that this one is not from racing beat. Atleast its not the one that the other pic shows. It could be a newer model! I also agree that I have seen something like this from FEED before.

Racing Beat body parts are based on OTHER manufacturer products (Knight Sport side skirts, front bumper, Mazdaspeed Type II Rear wing, etc...)

I would have to say that if the pic above is the Feed air dam then CTHIS RX7 is the Feed and not the RB...The feed seems to have a bit more curves than the RB

The FEED Air Dam and the Racing Beat are basically the same. You won't really be able to tell the difference unless you have two cars, with pictures taken from the same angle. Otherwise it's all guessing.

Just take CTHIS RX7's word that what he has on his car is from RB.

Personally, I like the look of it.. Much better than any aftermarket front bumper.. If I do get one to replace my RB Chin lip, I will have the sides molded...
