Pics of dash project
i have been working at r71's body shop under his guideance and this is my final product (he painted, i did all prepwork, sanding, fibeglassing, etc)
i molded out the popup headlight and cruise control locations, and honda s2000 start buton installed
for the radio surround, i did three gauges in a DIN slot, and one smaller gauge (for water injection pressure) above it, the slots are for greddy profecB and greddy turbo timer
i also molded out the dimmer switch (its pointless, right?)
the a/c relocation was done and the only switch i retained was the rear defrost, i actually use that a lot-
the recirculation button doesn't clear, you have to bang the tranny tunnel in with a hammer, and remove the carpet underneath the center console

nice , but the clearcoat on the instrument hood might reflect too much sunlight on the windshield .

yes, it's a lot of work...PM r71 if you're interested getting some work done, right now he's got three whole dash's he's doing
i don't think i would have the same attention to detail and patience with someone else's dash

Looks great, really anxious to see the install/finished product.
I think a strip of chrome around the shift boot would look great and really set off the shifter area.
audis have this and i think it would add a great contrast to the black and it would compliment the chrome surrounds of the gauges.

I remember Monsen's gray dash, some others, and this one. I'm still am not sure what the surface should be. Painted, super gloss surface doesn't work for me. Hmmmmmm.
