I realize most don't go into the south section (this is mildly FD-related) so I think this link is warranted:

Pretty cool looking car, glad he's keeping the 7 too

Damn that thing looks TOUGH!!!
Why or why didnt they offer a manual tranny for this car???? ahhhhh
I dont care if the trans costs 60 grand and can shift faster than god, nothing is more fun than a manual.
Because i would have literally bought a GTR after i sell my house.

I could probably do some selling of some stuff I have and end up only having to finance $45K or so...and that is not that bad at all.
What sucks is all the other costs...hell, I checked and it would cost around $2,200 to put a TAG on the damned thing in the county I live in....and I am sure insurance would be about $1500 per year or more.

Wow. That should be in everyone's SIG. *tear*
I don't understand the enthusiasm for this car. I think its pretty fugly.
It is very cool from a technical and engineering perspective but definitely not all that great looking.

I like the car alot from some angles, not really from the front. Apparently it hides it's weight well, but it's always going to be a heavy, gadget laden japanese car trying to masquerade as a supercar, and that fact is revealed when it goes up against true supercars (great review in the Euro rag 'EVO')
I'd take a Z06 over this thing, personally

RICH!!! it's MILDLY related.
I do love the 7. Still keeping it. Getting into the GT-R after the M3 and the M3 feels like a go cart. Even more of a dramatic difference when you go from the 7 to the R.
I also hate the styling. Was looking at a ZR1 (not really a vette guy and can't stand the interior) or a R8 (kinda soft for the price) or a used Gallardo spyder (way to high maintenance).
I also thought it was ridiculous that some places are still selling it OVER MSRP in this economic climate. A secretary at work actually found one at Don Davis Nissan in Arlington and my business manager (also a car nut) and I went over.
I have to admit, after seeing it in person, it wasn't "THAT" bad. But after a quick drive I was super impressed. It really is a neat car for what they accomplished at it's price range.
Lots of great cars....but I didn't want to wait for the V10 R8 (nor it's price)...and with the carapocalypse and the death of the nextgen NSX and possibly supra...decided to get it.
I've always been a gadget guy and the interior is actually well done despite the playstation appearance. It's also very luxurious.
It's also a BIG *** car...but like many of the reviews it seems to hide it weight well.
I was pretty close on getting a ZR1 but ended up saving about 40k for the difference

It has its issues as in the interior looks a little cheap and the trans but it is a lot of car for the money, but it does almost drive itself. For those who havent seen them in person they are much better looking in person. (Keep in mind this is coming from the biggest hater of Skylines in the world
)
nice lookin car!! love it!! great performance, love the looks. Be careful with the auto tranny, it is kinda of fragil . Here, a guy took it to the strip and did 11.6 with launch control a couple of times and blew the tranny. The dealer said if you use the launch control with out the traction control it voids the warranty. ouch
These actually look really cool in real life... and very large. It's bigger than my friends E55 AMG!
I'm very interested in that vinyl job... where do I get it, and how much? It'd be fun to wrap your car up for track season to protect the paint!
