New RE FEED C/F wing CHEAP!!
Are any of you guys familiar with this wing??? I always thought that wings sort of ruined the lines of the back of the rx7, but this particular feed wing curves with the rear end, the look is just PERFECT for my tastes...The only problem is that the ****** costs so much it's rediculous and no one made a replica or copied their design...well anyways, I just found out that Chuck's making them and having a GB for $750, god damn what a happy day
TTTeddy used to have a nice rear pic of his car in his sig, but I guess now it's gone ...I personally made my way to find his car at SS5 just to check out this thing, they're pretty rare (since the cost so much), anyways, it looked even cooler in person As it turned out I think I remember seeing another guy with it too, soooo

That should give me enough time. That is the only wing I would put on the car other then stock.
If we don't make the group buy, does he know what the normal price will be? I mentioned him doing this a while back, I wonder if he already had it planned or took my advice?

yeah, but for those that really want it, 750 compared to 2300 is a steal. Is the center section still going to be real CF? Can anyone comment on quality compared to the real FEED wing?

The weave of the replica's CF might be smaller and tighter on the authentic FEED, but that is yet to be seen. And I have no idea what how it affects quality.

If you want to get onto the group buy, please go to
http://www.rotaryextreme.com/feedcfwing.html
The price is the following:
fiberglass: $600 (regular price after group buy: $850)
fiberglass ends with carbon fiber center: $750 (regular price after group buy: $1050)
full carbon fiber: $1000 (regular price after group buy: $1350.
If you like the wing, you should get onto the group buy right now to take the advantage of the low prices. After 1-31-03, the prices will not be this low.
Some of you might think the prices are still too high but I am not going to do a large production run with it. It's not like a Honda wing that you can sell 100 per week. The pre-order slots are limited:
Fiberglass: 10 people
carbon fiber center: 5 people
full carbon fiber: 3 people
It will be an exact copy except the end plates on the center flap and the carbon fiber pattern. The end plates will be made in aluminum except of carbon fiber on all 3 versions. The carbon fiber cloth has a different pattern than the one on the FEED. The FEED one has the cross pattern but ours will be made with the same pattern as you see on the Scoot CF hood.
I will post pictures of the original FEED wing on my website tomorrow.

The prices are all listed here: http://rotaryextreme.com/feedcfwing.html
Also, if you notice, the groupbuy price is significantly lower than the normal price...if you guys like this wing as I do, I suggest jumping on it now while the price is %30 off!

haha, that price is a steal, i think i might have to get in on this..hopefully i get a christmas bonus or some $$ as gifts.
Can anyone comment if putting this wing on covers the holes for the factory wing? I'm hopping that installing this wing could be DIY..get it painted and bolt it up...thanks.

photos of the original feed wing
The finish is not super nice as expected from original parts. The finish of the original FEED bumper is much nicer. The fitment should be fine. It's only a wing, I don't expect any fitment problems since you just slap it onto the hatch.

it doesn't cover the holes huh??
So if i want this wing on my R1, i have to go to a body shop to get the holes covered correct? OUCH..i know that isn't cheap. I guess this cheap enhancement is just becoming more expensive.

Yes, I will ,but I have someone who is interested already. If he backs out, I will put it on my website after I am done making the mold. Price should be $1450+shipping. After I copy it, it's actually going to look nicer than what it is now. I have to smooth out all those rough spots on the side pieces before I make the mold or the replicas will turn out just like the original with a bunch of scratches on it right after it's popped out of the mold. After you get it, you should be able to just send it to the bodyshop and they don't really have to do any more sanding since it's already done.

It will reuse the holes on the outter legs of the R1/R2 rear wing. If you put on the FEED wing now but you want to put on the R1/R2 rear wing later, you will have to drill 4 more holes on the hatch for the inner legs of the R1/R2 wing. No problem in this case.
If you have the R1/R2 wing now, you will have to patch the hole. If you want to save money, just use a pop rivet like you see on the interior panel to cover the holes. Once the wing is put on, those pop rivents shouldn't be that noticable.

My car is a tourer, and i'd feel alot better about drilling holes if they could eventually be used for a stock wing if i wanted to sell the car....
