turbosmoke,
I should be able to do it for an FC. If you could send me a couple of pictures of the parts and I'll let you know.

Mark,

What about custom pieces? I did the A/C relocation and redid the radio trim w/ gauges and electronics... How much would it be?

Here is the pic of my A/C panel..

Here is a pic of my radio trim..(I might add a turbo timer and warning light in there...)

That is beautiful work. I would be embarrassed now to show the ducting for my oil coolers & intercooler. Even though it was my first attempt at making molds and laying carbon fiber, they are not nearly as nice as those. VERY NICE WORK.

JSpecRZ,

The price for the custom pices would be the same as the stock ones. Even though you moved things around time and material for me would be the same.

Pricing for the parts

1) Exterior Door handles 150 a set.
2) Exterior triangles 30 a set
3) Interior triangles directly behind door handle 30 a set
4) Interior triangles close to window 15 a set
5) A/c Panel 75
6) Shifter panel 100
7) Gauge panel (front part with the gauges) 100
8) Gauge panel top (part you can see from the front of the car) 50
9) Driver’s side door parts 85
10) Passenger side door parts 85

TeamChin,
I personally don't have any source to get new or used parts. Check out www.carbonfiberparts.net/links.asp for a list of used mazda part dealers.

you can send the in peices is you want but it will increase you shipping costs. Also if the parts touch each other I try to match the carbon pattern. if you send them seperatly I'll just try to guess.

It takes me about 1.5 weeks + shipping to do each part. I can however work on mutliple parts at the same time.

let me know what you want to do.

The trans tunnel can be done no problem. It is flexable however so you would have to be somewhat careful around it. If you flex it to much you will crack the carbon. I could always add several layers of carbon to make it stronger but the cost would go up alot.

Door panels can be done as long as the plastic trim/seal that runs along the window can be removed.

A pillars should be easy. they can probably be done with or without a gauge pod build into it.

Just drop me a line if you are interested in trying this stuff.

dude if you started making these a/c relocation kits for the masses you could be a very rich man!! i am sure that most people would pay around 2 bills for a kit that allows them to relocate their a/c. what kind of turn around would that be if you got this guys as a model and fab'ed some for us??? maybe you could give him a free sample since he was the mold??? just a thought....

Sullycrx is right........... the relocation kit is the ultimate placement of the climate controls which allows for gauges without going to the A-pillar.... for some.

doing the ac relocation is painstaking. it takes a lot of patience, time, etc. i could do one again if the money were right. turn around time would be another factor.

OK, I'm bringing this thread back from the dead..........

How many folks have had Mark do their CF work lately since this thread?

I like to see some pics and some feedback - both of which I think will be favorable..........

Hey I have a question about the CF film stuff, I noticed that it's also been used in the engine bay for parts like intercooler pipes, how well does the film hold up against all the heat?
