How much do any of these sliders actually move? If one was to slide the seat all the way forward, how much access is there to the bins or back seats?
Honestly mine barely moved front and rear. Maybe a couple inches total. The seat install was sized for me so it was fine for driving, but trying to access the backseat was more difficult. For example, the only way a person could've gotten in the back seat would be to crawl in between the front seats.
My (Brides) slide quite a bit. I did do some modifications on the rails to allow them to go further back. I will try to take some pics and post them up for you.

I did mine with 3M wrap, it came out nice. Repairing the broken mounting tabs was half the job. Who did yours and what did it cost? The pieces look nicely made!
I think I'd eventually like to replace mine with better quality pieces.
I should have everything in at the end of this week. I'm excited to finally have them in. Everything looks like it'll easily fit with the Planted rails.

Very comfortable. I just spent yesterday at the Tail of the Dragon which is about a 2 hour drive each way for me and the seats are more comfortable for me than the stock seats or my previous Sparcos.
Can't say enough good things about them. And the cupholder is from Ultimate Cupholders, a BMW site.
There was a previous question about how far forward the seats slide on the Bride rails. Here is a pic. I have about 10 inches of space behind the seats when all the way forward and they pretty much go all the way back to the bins. I did do some slight mods to the rails to achieve this amount of slide backward.

Too funny. I know though. I had found the website a few years ago but the cupholder kept coming back to me as something to try. I tried to find the exact model for you that I ordered, but I can't find the info. I believe though I ordered the BMW Z4 one. I think any of them will work though. As you can see, I have mine fitted under the center console. I drilled a hole into the top of the "tongue" and used one of the horizontal bolts under the console to secure the cupholder into place. Lastly, I bent the cupholder tongue to conform to the shape of the center tunnel.
I too have to put a serious thumbs up for the Cobra Nagaros & Ronin Speedworks Mounts. Everything arrived in an expedient fashion. Both components are top notch quality and there were zero issues with the install.
For reference, I am 6'0 with a 33" waist and medium build/broader shoulders and these things rock. Ingress/egress is easy. They do not rub on the door cards and so far they are comfortable yet supportive. Full disclosure, I have not driven it any major distance since install so I have zero advice on the front.
Overall, very pleased! Thank you to this thread for the guidance! (I was half a click away from ordering the OEM Recaros for double the price....
Bride Stradia 2 lowmax with lowmax rails fit. Unlike the Gias, it does NOT interfere with the center console by the e brake.
Thanks was looking for someone who had experience with fitting these! No trimming was necessary to make these fit? Was a direct drop in? I'm not looking to hack up my beautiful FD but would love the functionality of a reclining bucket seat.
Another vote for Bride Stradias - great seat, super low driving position with the Bride LR rails, comfortable on long journeys (IMO), and no issues with fitment (clears doorcards and centre console easily). If you're not bothered about having recliners, though, those Cobra Nogaros look real nice

Nice! I assume these are stradia II (not just stradia).
Do you have lots of room on the passenger side as well? Just asking because mine is a LHD.
FYI, the Stradia II's, along with all the seats of the previous product line, have been discontinued by Bride to make way for their new line of seats. Used is the only option to get these now, unfortunately.

No, these are the original Stradia, bought back in 2008. To be honest, I'm not exactly sure what the differences are between these and the Stradia II. Do you know?
Yes, plenty of room on both sides. My wife finds these really comfortable as well, which is a bonus 😆

I believe the difference is between the reclining mechanism. At least that's what I've been told...
Thanks for the info. I was looking to get a set because I need something that would be comfy for the wife yet bucket-y enough for me.
I can't remember if I ever posted the final product of the seats actually in the car, but here it is. They fit great, the wife doesn't complain about comfort, and shave a good bit of weight.
Does anyone have the info on how this was done? That's a dead link now. I got a Recaro Sportster GT without having done enough research (trusted the make/model filter), but I don't see how it'd line up on the stock rails. GT/CS mounting pattern is 406x297mm, OEM rails are something like 318mm apart. Steel plate with holes drilled in it?
I've seen a few folks on the Supra forums that have put the CS on Bride RO and MO rails, so I was considering getting the RO's to see if that combo would drop into the FD as well, but... I'd rather not keep spending money on stuff that doesn't fit.
You may need to,
either make an adapator plate...of use the 'Planted' seat mount....It might help to take some pictures....Maybe someone here has some experience with this set up.
Here's what is probably the biggest issue with the seat, there is a crossbar in the rear that sticks out, so any rails that aren't wide enough will require a lot of spacers to fit to an adapter and then the seat will also be raised a few inches (I'm 6'1" and do hit the track from time to time, so helmet clearance is a must).
I would've gotten a Planted bracket already and then picked up Recaro rails if I could find dimensions for them, but in the meantime I've sent off an email to Planted. I'd worry that the inner clearance on their plate would also interfere with that crossbar. I'd already sent one to Recaro a few weeks ago when I realized the problem and they haven't responded yet either.
Wow, I wish I'd contacted Planted sooner. They got back to me bright and early this morning, and then again 30 minutes after I asked a follow-up question. After a bunch of really lackluster experiences with various vendors, it was a welcome respite. And it was informative!

The SB090PA bracket is 18.25 inches wide and 15.75 inches front to back and has the Recaro slider hole pattern pre-drilled into it which is 16 inches wide on center and 13.25 inches front to back.[...]
I recently acquired a red Recaro SPD (Speed) version seat. Model number SPD -00.000.UU66.
The seat is listed above under "Fits with Modifications".
Today I had the seat installed in my FD.
I have the following items to report, some of which were mentioned in the above threads:
1) Removed the door side adjustment ****
2) Seat presses against the door card at shoulder height
3) seat is tight on against the centre armrest.
4) Seat has some ability to move back and forth.
5) Tipping forward is limited by hitting the headliner. The cover for the trunk release lever needs to be removed.
6) the remaining seat back adjuster is comfortably reachable and operates easily
7) Seat came with Recaro sliding rails model REC0709
8) I purchased the Planted seat base SB090PA (Mazda RX7 (1992-2002)
9) Installer needed to modify the end 90 degree iron pieces on the rails to accommodate the Planted base
10) The installer also needed to drill extra holes in the rail
11) The planted base lined up perfectly with the existing bolt holes in the chassis.
The seat is very comfortable and is said to accommodate up to 40" waist. I sit about an half inch higher than OEM. Also the seat centre is a little closer to the door. My shoulder is now snug against the door card.
The seat is much more supportive than OEM. It is somewhat easier (for me) to get in and out of the car. The higher bolster actually helps spring you out!
The seat may have been designed for the Integra Type R. It looks bulkier in the FD than the OEM RX7 Recaros.
I have not replaced the interior rear side panel, yet, but likely it will have to be modified. (Luckliy I have a damaged spare I can use.)
I love the iconic red fabric, but it clashes somewhat with my wood (Miata derived) steering wheel.
