Like This Kit?

Now i know most everyone on this forum absolutely hates the veilside and various other aggresive types of kits. But i just want your guy's opinion on this body kit. Although it is still a Veilside i believe it looks alot better than the other more aggresive one as this one looks to be toned down alot more. The pic will probably look very familiar but i am trying to decide which bodykit to buy when i get one. I also thought about the CWest but that has gotten very popular in recent months and i havent seen any cars with this kit other than 2(this pic and the one from the Veilside site) anyways enough yappin heres the pic.........i believe its the CII kit(or maybe the CI)

ps.if anybody has any pics of the body kit on different cars please post the pics or any links if you know where to get this kit cheap, and include your thoughts and which kits you like.......thank you

by the way thanks for the comment, i do want your comments, but that is a pretty bad view of the kit which kinda takes away from it( i had a a better pic but it was too big) so that one will have to do

I would buy one with that kit already on and leave it, but I wouldn't put it on a car that didn't have it.
What I'm trying to say, is it's an okay kit, but not my favorite.

Here are some Veilside pics:

I like the Veilside side and rear skirts, however I really don't like their fronts. Myself, I don't really like any of the other front ends, I prefer the stock with an air dam or front lip.

Like someone said, to each his own. But if you notice (at least I have), you HARDLY ever see pics of the Veilside kit directly from the side. Why you ask yourself? cause it is ugly as hell from the side. It sticks out so much, almost to a point, and does not at all compliment the car. From other views (front/angled a little), I like the kit. But in person, the kit sticks out what seems like an extra foot beyond the stock front.

My $.02

hey Touring FD3S i never really seen the kit in person so i wouldnt know about it looking bad from the side but ill look for some side pics, also the kit pic from the veilside site looks bad because it has no paint on it or anything and most of you guys know a good paint job can make or break a car and they really look sharp with a good paint job. The FnF has a nice deep "ferrari" red to it which i like. also im not sayin i am going to git this kit its just that i kinda wanna be different and do my own thing rather then do what everyone else has already done(its great stuff but just wanna be different) i will then look for some side pics and post any if i find some to show everyone

Like I said, they are nice kits in pics and from diff angles, but in person and from the side it is not that nice. I have never seen the new one in person, but I have seen the first version in real life quite a few times and each and everytime I hate the front. The rest of the kit is nice though, just not the front.

and ill agree with you on the 1st veilside kit, i think its hideous but liek i said this one is more toned down and has a lil bit more curves rather then the edgy first one

so what do you guys think about the side shots...o and i definately liek the CF wing but i think its kinda pricey for the veilside one

i also went on ebay and all they have is the ugly C1 kit. is the C2 rare because ive only seen like 2 cars with the kit and a couple of sites that sell it.

Well, like I siad above, I do like the side & rear skirts. I'll be adding the C2 Side & Rear skirts next year to mine, but I still think the Veilside Fronts are just plain nasty...

As for the CF wing, I love the look of them in pictures. I think they go great for "show cars", however I think they don't look as nice when you see the car actually driving on the road...

Try to find someone with it on their car and look at it. In my opinion, the kit is UGLY when you see it in real life....but thats just my opinion.

There is a guy in the UK who has that Veilside C! kit on his car. He has had it modified to add indicators (turn signals) and side lights (parking lights). There are some pictures here...

http://www.mymazdarotary.com/main.htm
Look at "Gary Gooding's RX-7 Photos" and "Gary Gooding's RX-7 Video" in the "Your Mazda Rotary" section in the nav bar on the left.

I've attached one of the photos of it that I have as well.

Thumbs up

hey thanks for that post and that is now the 3rd car i have seen with that kit. Although i think Gary took alot away from the kit adding those really ugly "Intergra" type lights on. But the key is to be different so more power to him. good luck with the OEM side skirts, they look great...i just like the veilside ones better..hehe

I can't stand the look of any of the veilside kits. Then again, I'm not a big fan of ANY body kits. I guess I just find the clean, uncluttered stock look too beautiful to mess with. To me, most of the body kits take the pontiac approach to styling. Wonder why I don't own a pontiac.

Just my opinion.
