interior modifacations?

Does any one know of a web site I can check out, I am pretty much going to gut the complete interior and re-do it all. would love to go the whole pimp my ride/batmobile feel. So if anybody has ideas, encouragements based off what you've done..etc it will all be appreciated.

please please please do not replace all the interior parts (shift ****, e-brake handle, steering wheel, seats, armrests, vents) with brightly colored replacements that match the exterior color. It's really really tasteless and makes the car look like a toy.

hey instead of flaming him all day long....why not give him some ideas, which is what he asked for. Last time I checked, this is a free country.....he can do what he wants to his Rex. If all Rexs looked the same, they wouldnt be unique. So if this guy wants to play "Batman" meets "Xibit", let him.

TO Freelance:
You do what you want to your car. As far as sites are concerned, there are to many to list. Since no one here knows you or your particular interests other than the whole DC comic book theory, there really is no use asking people that question in this forum. Ask your family or friends that see you everyday. If you have a problem with your engine, transmission, fuel system, etc. , this is the place to post. But before you do, SEARCH the forum and the archives and the FAQ. 90% chance you wil find your answer. Also remember that the number of posts does not make that person an expert. With all that said, welcome to RX7 Club

Here are some of the things I've done. Also, for the carpet, you can get some decent indoor/outdoor carpet from lowes, and make the whole back piece from that. the front and sides are harder, so I'm just dying those. If you want to change the color of the plastic entirely, look for SEM color coat. It's the only thing that can truly dye a car interior, and it comes in several colors. I'm also mounting an amp to a 1" thick plexiglass divider between the strut towers. Hope this helps.

go to post reply (rather than quick reply) then manage attachments. Click that, and you have the option to upload them.

thanks

for the mixed insights. To clarify, the whole interior is shot! Springs popping through the seats carpeting is ripped and looks like cigerettes were put out on it the dash has major cracks.
And come on kids lets be realistic..by means of "batmobile" I mean more the gadgets: touch screen computers, gps enabled, wireless internet, stereo system set ups. But those of ya'll that went straight to the geek shot, that's cool.... maybe I would have been cooler if I went the 2 fast 2 furious route.
There isn't much room as far as what to do which is what I was inetially trying to ask. For any one that has "tricked""pimped" whatever'd out their interiors with the said above batman accessories more or less, where did you go? What websites did you go to for parts? What brands work best for the rx etc.

Thanks for getting my post were it was supposed to be and thanks for the replys with or with out info helpful to my situation.

Hey! I did that!

BTW the hanging wire is fixed, and the floor mats and pedals are gone.

I'd get the shift boot, armrest cover, and ebrake boot cover from redlinegoods.com . You can get it in whatever colors you want, with any color stitching you want. The rest you can get off ebay. There is a guy who sells just factory interior parts for older mazdas.

for the in-car computer/gps stuff check out ------> www.mp3car.com

for sound stuff this site is "decent" ------> www.sounddomain.com

Thats all the help i can give. btw please please dont do everything in bright colors etc etc. The interior on an FD is great as it is, if you must add some seats and just mold in a lilliput touch screen to the center console that is as much bling as these cars need!!

What I think is one thing, but going out of my way and saying it is another.

Yeah but yours looks good (and I'm not even a big fan of red) cause it's all accents, not the whole damn thing red.
