lol.... riced out prelude. well thats wonderful.

i think they only rice aspect of my car may be the wing but i just dont know. its not really a ricer style wing. more of an enthusiast wing.... its authentic Mariah after all.... nothing rice about mariah....

if i went with the black and purple it could easily have become rice... im glad ididnt do that!!!!

i dont have money for rims and tires. thats 400-2500 bux depending on where i shop and if i get used or not.... finding rims cheep i still would have to buy tires. thats way out of my 150$ a month budget.

i got my rims and tires off a 350z for 300$ they have a slight bit of curbing scratches and 2 tires have inner rub from a strut off the z and one tire had to be patched from a nail. only cuz they were 300$ and a bad *** deal did i get them. if i didnt find that deal i would still be driving around on tii rims

im cheep, i cant work my *** off and earn money like every one else cuz i am on SSI.... so what you see is what you get and i am VERY grateful to have what i have.....

I just want to say I have been following your build on and off for a few years now i believe, From you defending yourself and worth of a women in the auto world and enjoying your passion from the looks of it I think thats great! My Girlfriend and I have opened a licensed garage together and have been open for a while now F.R. Rocket's L.L.C. in Greenwich NY, 12834 I enjoy how she gets right in there with me brings us closer then what we could be without this passion in common. But anyway I was impressed with the shake job and impressed at your current choice I am also using alsa Black to white on my 89 GTU "721BHP" nuff said lol and using the crystal FX on my Mazda speed scoop insert and Aero mirrors on a 30mm GP-sports full wide-body kit not copying lol I built my car in 2005. Alsa's a great company i like there soft feel clear but using martin senior paint clear from NAPA

thanks for sticking with me threw my build!!!
to answer your question
http://www.shop.retro-spec.net/produ...1&productId=21
its amazing quality but it may take a few weeks to receive, he makes them to order.

about alsa. i am skeptical about their product quality. if i were you i would order a spray can (caust 40$) and test out the effect of the paint. i sprayed my fender to find out if i wanted it or not. and it did not grow on me. the can lasted for my whole fender a modle car and a speed shape. can goes a long way. use duplicolor as base coat and primer and clear to save cash, duplicolor automotive paint wont react with alsa's paint to my experience.
test the paint well and figure out if you want it

the black to white heat paint usualy just stays gray unless you do it right. i've heard many stories about it

i did not use the glossy i used the "flat" which isnt really flat more of a stock look unless humidity is grater then 60% then it seemed to be extremely flat like primer (had to re do door panels cuz of humidity)

the look is completely uniform no blotching no issues. i did not remove the dash because there is a metal piece that the defrost vents sit in. this metal pieces is removable threw screws and metal clips. you pop it out. paint it seporate. place it back in and mask from that point up to your windshield and you will not have to remove your dash to avoid over spray on your windshield. you must mask door jams and re move steering wheel and stereo surround. mask off logicon and any thing left behind your stereo surround. open you glove box for the first 2 coats making sure you cover the inner areas. then close the clove box and continue. it was extremely easy for me to paint all areas of the dash with no mistakes.

i used the duct brand or 3m brand plastic roll with tape attached. its a roll of drop cloth plastic that has tape already on it. quick and easy masking.

paint in very light feather coats, paint coats must be done with in 4 min of eachother or else it will look blotchy. must use adhesion promoter which is ment for plastics, it is a clear primer type of paint. you must include this paint in the 4 min rule. very light even coats. do not try to cover the dash all at once you will get streeks in your paint.

Your car looks so freaking good! I want mine to look this good! You make me want to drive from denver to texas to get you to paint my car! What wheels do you have on there? they are so sick! I need to start to do body work on my 89 t2 and maybe you could give me some pointer on what to do and where to start?

Good job in schooling the haters. The car looks great BTW!!!

So what kind of steering wheel is this? As superdan said it does a great job in pulling the exterior into the interior

Looks like an NRG steering wheel.

The wheels are ASA, pretty common in part b/c Tire Rack sells them.

Paint looks great, way to show those haters!!!!!!!!!
