i am painting my rx7!!!!!!!
Looks very nice! Thought I'd take a moment to step out from lurking around this thread and put in my 2 cents. I appreciate your colour choice, I think it was a much better idea then the shifting paint. Your thoughts on color matching, scratches makes perfect sense and was very well thought out.
Very impressed, you put in alot of hard work yourself, and the shop came threw amazingly. Kudo's all around!
"Girls can too" in your signature, in my opinion after reading this thread - Is completely incorrect. "Girls can too - And Often do it better" Is far, far more accurate!

2 coats color . sanded, 2 more coats color and 3 coats clear.
the way we painted it over a dark gray base makes the color look DEEP. thats the trick we used.
HELL no..... it'll never be done!!!!
i still have to sand buff and pollish. and theres so many more things to do on the interior.
the door seals you can save. any of the seals that are press in. i did not put back on the sun roof seal. and i still need to put down the seal above the front windshield. thats a press in seal.
the metal around the window i need to take off and paint. as well as the sheild below the windshield wipers AND paint the windshield wipers too.
the seal around the rear hatch needs to be replace as well as the rear hatch metal needs to be sanded and painted. some one painted it in the past and it is pealing up, dumbasses didnt remove the rubber seal to paint it.

thank you very much for noticing!!! yeah it took me almost 2 years to pick out the color.... i needed something to accent fender lines and over all body lines of the car but i didnt want something every one does.. the metallic red with deep sealer/base coat really does pop in its own special way!!!
also i hope you dont mind i used ur quote in my sig

i want a new background, do u have a higher res version of the 3rd pic down? the one with the supra in the foreground, urs to the left, and the cobalt in the far back.
man these people really want to see you! I can definitely appreciate that car, absolutely beautiful with that color and looks like a very clean paint job. Make sure to be extra careful buffing that paint!

so... i arrive at the shop to have my car sanded and buffed from the guy that works there. i gete there and the guy isnt there. he went to a dr apointment and wouldnt be back till tomorrow... i was like ... oooooookay...........
well good thing i was wearing my work clothes.... the painter who's been teaching me everything, he taught me how to sand the clear coat (which i already experience with before on spray paint) and then he taught me how to use the buffer...
damn that buffer was heavy. today my muscles hurt like hell!!!!
heres the results.
i was able to finish door and fender yesterday
