what makes it look more unfinished, the 10 different colors, filler, and primer? or the lack of side skirts.

lol you think i'd keep the side skirts on while i am doing body work near that area?

i just simply took them off for the body work and prep.

you can see side skirts in my signature too...
also my spoiler has been removed. i have no door handle on the orange door and no window trim, the car also looks really wierd with out those things on too wouldnt you think? but i guess i may need to put the side skirts back on so my car looks better while i am going threw all the body work.. lawl
because having 10 colors on my car doesnt distract enough from the fact i dont have my side skirts on
i'm just messin with ya... i just think its kinda silly for some one to acuse me of not having the skirts on

I saw bare metal...did you etch primer first or go straight to primer? If you didn't etch primer there's a good chance your primer won't hold to the metal well enough. (I'm talking long term of course)

idk what you mean by a special etch primer. but their primer is a very good top of the line primer. i etched the metal not just smooth bare metal. where you see metal i've sanded with 320 or less.

A self-etching primer has acid and zinc in it. The acid forces the zinc into the metal saturating the top level. Great for rust protection.

^Yep, self etching primer pretty much makes the primer eat into the metal a little, so your paint won't fall off in a few years.

well its at the shop. i left it there a few weeks ago. they are going to work me into there schedual and paint my car soon. its in a safe spot so i am not worried, they only have one painter and one prep guy and one finalizing guy. so it may take a while for my car to get painted.

the shop owner didnt want me paying him to paint my car as i did alot of work on it at his shop already. i told him i cant finish because of the heat and my health condition. so he said drop it off and he will be able to paint it and get it done soon.

its only been 3 weeks and they have had alot of insurence clames come threw.

i stop in every week or so to check on it. it never moves, battery is unhooked, everything is in order and it hasnt moved since it got parked in the shop. i am not worried about it one bit. i just have to be pacient untill its finished.... because i know i cant work on it myself because of my health, its just to much on me now a days.

the only thing that needs to be done is to re-primer areas where i had oil splaterd on me from a car driving infront of me... ugh... and where i dripped oil from changnig out my oil lines . so the hood bumper and fender up front.

the hood has some over spray from when i did the door jams. other then that it just needs to be washed and masked.
